Son Goku

CONCEPT:
This piece is a re-upload after updating the original piece. This is my depiction of the character Son Goku from the anime Dragon Ball Super. I drew influences from both Pan-Asian and African American culture into this piece. I baked a smile into this mighty warrior to convey his child-like innocence he has in the source material.

CLOTH DEVELOPMENT:
I "sculpted" the fabric by adding collision to the body, and then using nCloth with wind dynamics.

HAIR DEVELOPMENT:
I placed NURBS curves along a poly hair cap, and converted them to guides using Xgen. I adjusted settings and added modifications to get look I was aiming for. I converted the hair to polys so I could push the texture more, and remove scaling limitations.
The modeled the braids manually. I twisted three NURBs curves in a braid pattern, and then extruded them. Afterwards I converted them to polys, added joints, and placed them along the character.
